Inspiring Words

I love words. As an English major, I have learned the power that words can have over the mind and the great influence they can have for good or evil. Over the years, I've collected a lot of quotes and sayings that have been inspiring to me and that have made a difference in my life. They come from all kinds of places: books, poems, plays, movies, authors, philosophers, religious leaders, historical figures, and others. Here are some of them:

Today upon a bus, I saw a lovely maid with golden hair;
